"Keeping Children Safe"

Parenting workshops

This is a FREE six week program for parents & carers.

The program supports parents and carers to become more committed
to creating a safe environment for children and young people both
at home and in the community by:
  • Recognising abuse and neglect¨ 
  • Understanding it’s effects on children¨ 
  • Making changes in order to prevent abuse and neglect of children

This group meets on  Wednesdays for 6 weeks
 betwee 14th October and 25th November 2015
(there is no group on 28th October)

Time: 9:45am —12:00 noon

Venue: Woodrising Neighbourhood Centre
80 Hayden Brook Rd,

Morning tea provided.

No Childcare provided at these workshops.

NSW Transport will be holding an information session on the Seniors/Pensioners opal card at Woodrising Neighbourhood Centre on Tuesday 13th October at 10.00 am

 From 1 January 2016, most paper tickets will no longer be sold, including:
Pensioner Excursion tickets
MyBus TravelTen tickets
MyMulti Weekly tickets
MyFerry TravelTen tickets

The only paper tickets available will be single Adult and Concession tickets (trains, buses, ferries and light rail) and return Adult and Concession tickets (trains, ferries and light rail). 

To assist with the transition, oOh! Edge, on behalf of Transport NSW, will be providing a free community engagement presentation at Woodrising Neighbourhood Centre on Tuesday 13th October at 10.00 am.

Transport department staff will be available at this time to assist you to sign up to Opal (before 1 January 2016).
